సెంచరీలతో దంచి కొట్టిన గిల్, పంత్ బంగ్లాదేశ్ టార్గెట్ ఎంతంటే
జాతీయ National News భారత్ ప్రతినిధి : చెన్నై టెస్టులో భారత్ దూసుకెళ్తుంది. ఏకంగా 514 పరుగుల ఆధిక్యాన్ని సంపాదించింది. గిల్, పంత్ సెంచరీలతో బంగ్లాదేశ్ ముందు 515 పరుగుల భారీ టార్గెట్ ను నిర్ధేశించింది. గిల్ సెంచరీ చేసిన కాసేపటికే రెండో ఇన్నింగ్స్ 4 వికెట్ల నష్టానికి 287 పరుగుల వద్ద భారత్ ఇన్నింగ్స్ ను డిక్లేర్ చేసింది. గిల్ (119) రాహుల్ (22) నాటౌట్ గా నిలిచారు.
మూడో రోజు ఆటలో పంత్, గిల్ ఆట హైలెట్ గా నిలిచింది. మొదట పంత్ సెంచరీ మార్క్ అందుకోగా ఆ తర్వాత అతనితో పాటు మరో ఎండ్ లో గిల్ సైతం తన సెంచరీని పూర్తి చేసుకున్నాడు. తొలి ఇన్నింగ్స్ లో డకౌటైన గిల్ రెండో ఇన్నింగ్స్ లో సెంచరీతో సత్తా చాటాడు. 155 బంతుల్లో సెంచరీ పూర్తి చేసుకున్న గిల్ ఇన్నింగ్స్ లో 9 ఫోర్లు 3 సిక్సర్లున్నాయి. గిల్ టెస్ట్ కెరీర్ లో ఇది ఐదో సెంచరీ.
అంతకముందు పంత్ 124 బంతుల్లో సెంచరీని పూర్తి చేసుకున్నాడు. మూడో రోజు ఆటలో భాగంగా లంచ్ తర్వాత పంత్ ఈ తన సెంచరీ మార్క్ అందుకున్నాడు. పంత్ ఇన్నింగ్స్ లో 11 ఫోర్లు.. 4 సిక్సర్లున్నాయి. టెస్ట్ కెరీర్ లో ఇది రిషబ్ కు ఇది ఆరో సెంచరీ. సెంచరీ తర్వాత పంత్ ఔట్ అయ్యాడు. భారత్ తమ తొలి ఇన్నింగ్స్ లో 376 పరుగులకు ఆలౌటైంది. బంగ్లాదేశ్ తమ తొలి ఇన్నింగ్స్ లో కేవలం 149 పరుగులకే ఆలౌటైంది. దీంతో భారత్ కు తొలి ఇన్నింగ్స్ లో 227 పరుగుల భారీ ఆధిక్యం లభించింది.
