ఆధార్ కార్డు హోల్డర్లకు UIDAI వార్నింగ్ QR కోడ్ స్కాన్ చేస్తున్నారా జాగ్రత్త
జాతీయ National News భారత్ ప్రతినిధి : ఆధార్ కార్డు ఇది లేకుండా ఏ పనిజరగదు. బ్యాంకు ఖాతా తెరవాలన్నా విద్యాసంస్థల్లో నమోదు చేసుకోవాలన్నా ఆరోగ్య సంరక్షణ పొందాలన్నా ప్రభుత్వం ఇచ్చే ప్రజా సంక్షేమ పథకాలు పొందాలన్నా ఇది తప్పనిసరి. అయితే ఆధార్ కార్డులో బయోమెట్రిక్ డేటా ఉన్నందున దీనిని ఉపయోగించేటప్పుడు జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకోకుంటే మిస్ యూజ్ అయ్యే అవకాశం ఉందని UIDAI హెచ్చరిస్తోంది. ట్యాంపరింగ్ చేయడం ద్వారా సైబర్ ఫ్రాడ్ జరిగే అవకాశం ఉందని ప్రజలు తమ ఆధార్ కార్డు ఉప యోగించేటప్పుడు జాగ్రత్తగా ఉండాలని కోరుతోంది.
ఐడెంటిటీ ధృవీకరణ కోసం అన్ని సిస్టమ్లు, MAadhaar యాప్ ద్వారా లేదా ఆధార్ QR కోడ్ స్కానర్ని ఉపయోగించి ఆధార్ కార్డ్లోని QR కోడ్ను స్కాన్ చేయవచ్చని UIDAI పేర్కొంది. ఈ QR కోడ్తో ఏదైనా ట్యాంపరింగ్ జరిగితే ఈ సందర్భాలలో ఆధార్ కార్డ్ పనికిరాకుండా పోతుంది.కాబట్టి కార్డ్ హోల్డర్లు దానిని సురక్షితంగా ఉంచుకోవాలని సూచిస్తోంది.
ఉచిత ఆధార్ అప్డేట్
మరోవైపు UIDAI ప్రస్తుతం ఆధార్ కార్డ్ వివరాల కోసం ఇవాళ్టితో (సెప్టెంబర్ 14 ) ఉచిత అప్డేట్ గడువు ముగియనుంది. సెప్టెంబర్ 15 నుంచి వినియోగదారులు ఏవైనా అప్డేట్ల కోసంరుసుము చెల్లించాల్సి ఉంటుంది. ముఖ్యంగా గత 10 సంవత్సరాలుగా తమ వివరాలను అప్డేట్ చేసుకోని వారి కోసం ఈ ఏడాది (2024) ఆధార్ అప్డేట్ గడువును రెండుసార్లు UIDAI పొడిగించింది.
ఈ గడువు తర్వాత ఆన్లైన్లో చేసినా లేదా ఆధార్ కేంద్రంలో చేసినా ఒక్కో అప్డేట్కు రూ.50 ఛార్జ్ చేయబడుతుంది. మరోవైపు ఆధార్ కార్డు హోల్డర్లు తమ వారి వివరాలను పబ్లిక్ గా ఉంచొద్దని UIDAI హెచ్చరించింది. కార్డు దుర్వినియోగం కాకుండా బయోమెట్రిక్ లను లాక్ చేయాలని, ప్రైవసీని ప్రొటెక్ట్ చేసుకునేందుకు మాస్క్ డ్ ఆధార్ కార్డును ఉపయోగించాలని సూచిస్తోంది.
Aadhaar card is not functional without it. It is mandatory to open a bank account, to enroll in educational institutions, to get health care or to get public welfare schemes given by the government. But since Aadhaar card contains biometric data, there is a possibility of misuse if care is not taken while using it.
All systems for identity verification, the UIDAI said, can scan the QR code on the Aadhaar card through the MAadhaar app or using the Aadhaar QR code scanner. Any tampering with this QR code will render the Aadhaar card useless in these cases, so card holders are advised to keep it safe.
On the other hand, UIDAI is currently offering free update for Aadhaar card details as of today (September 14). From September 15, users will have to pay a fee for any updates. UIDAI has extended the Aadhaar update deadline twice this year (2024) especially for those who have not updated their details in the last 10 years.
After this deadline Rs.50 will be charged per update whether done online or at an Aadhaar Kendra. On the other hand, UIDAI has warned Aadhaar card holders not to make their details public. Masked Aadhaar card to lock biometrics to prevent card misuse and protect privacy.
