తెలంగాణ Telangana News భారత్ ప్రతినిధి : ఇండియాలో తొలి ఆఫ్ రోడ్ ఎలక్ర్టిక్‌ బైక్ రేసింగ్ టీమ్ ‘ఇండి రేసింగ్’ ప్రపంచ వేదికపై చరిత్ర సృష్టించింది. ఇంటర్నేషనల్ మోటార్‌ సైక్లింగ్‌ ఫెడరేషన్ (ఎఫ్‌‌‌‌ఐఎం) నిర్వహించే ప్రతిష్టాత్మక ఈ–ఎక్స్‌‌‌‌ప్లోరర్‌ వరల్డ్ కప్‌‌‌‌లో అరంగేట్ర సీజన్‌‌‌‌లోనే కాంస్య పతకంతో పోడియంపైకి వచ్చి సత్తా చాటింది. ఈ వరల్డ్ కప్‌‌‌‌లోని నాలుగు రేసుల్లో ఇండి రేసింగ్ జట్టు మొత్తంగా 479 పాయింట్లు సాధించి మూడో ప్లేస్‌‌‌‌తో కాంస్యం అందుకుంది.
స్విట్జర్లాండ్‌‌‌‌లోని క్రాన్స్‌ మోంటానా వేదికగా జరిగిన వరల్డ్ కప్‌ చివరి రౌండ్‌‌‌‌లో మెప్పించిన ఇండి రేసింగ్ రైడర్‌ శాండ్రా గోమెజ్‌ 271 పాయింట్లతో విమెన్స్‌ కేటగిరీలో చాంపియన్‌‌‌‌షిప్‌ టైటిల్‌‌‌‌ను సొంతం చేసుకుంది. కాగా, ఇండియా తరఫున ఈ –బైక్ రేసింగ్ ప్రయాణాన్ని ఆరంభించి తొలి సీజన్‌‌‌‌లోనే మెడల్ సాధించడంపై ఇండి రేసింగ్ ఓనర్, హైదరాబాద్‌‌కు చెందిన కంకణాల అభిషేక్‌ రెడ్డి సంతోషం వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
ఇలాంటి రేసింగ్‌‌‌‌లోనూ ప్రపంచ వేదికపై ఇండియాకు మెడల్ తెచ్చే జట్టును దేశ అభిమానులకు అందించటం తనకు ప్రత్యేక అనుభూతిగా నిలుస్తుందన్నారు. ఇండి రేసింగ్ చూసి దేశంలో బైక్ ఉన్న ప్రతి కుర్రాడు రేసింగ్ రంగంలోకి రావాలని కలలు కంటాడని అన్నారు.
